 INSTRUCTIONS:

• • • Being in the nursing field you will come across many different ethical dilemmas. In the following assignment, answer one of the following questions below with a brief paragraph (2-3 sentences) on where you stand regarding the following ethical medical issues:

      Do you believe that:

      • Patients have the right to die or to commit suicide?
      • Patients should always be told the truth?
      • Medical use of marijuana should be legal?
      • Pediatric patients should have no say in their medical care and treatment?
      • Donated organs should go to death row inmates?

      Note: this assignment asks you to share your opinion and is designed to help you think through the issues; you will not be graded on the "rightness" or "wrongness" of your stance, so please be as honest and forthcoming as you like without fear of repercussion for your chosen position.
