Grouping Concepts
When preparing your search, it is useful to group your concepts together. To yield the greatest number of results, combine your subject headings with keywords. For this demonstration, we will search for the impact of exercise on type II diabetes. You will want to string your synonyms together using the OR operator, then combine your concepts using the AND operator. In the example below, words in purple are keywords, while words in green are subject headings. Use a separate search box for each concept.
